WFG – Williston Financial Group
In 2009, a group of senior title insurance management personnel, including Patrick Stone, former President of Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, joined with a leading private equity firm to form Williston Financial Group, LLC. With 9 senior executive officers having in excess of 180 total years in the title insurance business, Williston and its underwriters know the title insurance business and the critical role that agents play in the continued success of the industry.
In early 2010, Williston Financial Group, LLC acquired TransUnion National Title Insurance Company, a title insurance underwriter incorporated in 1974 and currently licensed in 31 states, including North Carolina. A name change to WFG National Title Insurance Company is underway around the country to reflect the purchase. WFG anticipates qualifying in an additional 16 states in the coming months to create a national company, one that is truly responsive to the needs of its agents and customers.
